Title: Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra: A New Flagship with Large Display, Powerful Performance, and Advanced Camera System

On March 14, 2024, Asus is set to unveil its newest smartphone offering, the Zenfone 11 Ultra. While it may bear the same name as its predecessor, the Zenfone 11 Ultra is quite different in terms of design, display, performance, and camera system.

Design & Display
The era of compact flagships may come to an end as the upcoming Zenfone 11 Ultra is expected to feature a large 6.78-inch display. This departure from Asus’ tradition of catering to customers seeking smaller devices might signify the end of small Zenfones.

Leaked renders suggest that the design of the Zenfone 11 Ultra is somewhat similar to the ROG Phone 8, but with a few noticeable differences. The rear camera module has undergone some changes, with a more streamlined and subtle aesthetic. The flashy gamer aesthetics have been replaced by geometric patterns, and the sides of the device boast flat surfaces with no shoulder triggers.

The display onboard the Zenfone 11 Ultra is rumored to be a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and an LTPO technology that supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Although this display size and resolution are the same as those on the ROG Phone 8, its refresh rate is slightly lower.

According to a previous report, the Zenfone 11 Ultra will be available in five color options: Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Gray, Verdure Green, and Desert Sienna.

Performance
The similarities between the Zenfone 11 Ultra and ROG Phone 8 don’t stop at design; they also share impressive performance capabilities. A Geekbench listing has already revealed that the device, with model number ASUS_AI2401_H, is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This powerful chipset boasts a peak clock speed of 3.30GHz and has scored an impressive 2226 points in single-core tests and 6949 points in multi-core tests. This performance capability ensures that the device can handle day-to-day tasks, as well as heavy applications without any issues.

Additionally, the Zenfone 11 Ultra is expected to offer configurations with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The cooling system, however, remains a mystery at the moment. While the ROG Phone 8 uses a conduction cooling system with a boron nitride heat pipe and copper motherboard, Asus might opt for a more moderate solution to cater to the device’s intended audience.

Battery life is another essential aspect of the Zenfone 11 Ultra, as it is expected to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 65W wired and 15W keyboards charging support. A leaked unboxing image indicates that the power brick might not be included in the box. Other notable features include a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speaker system, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 7 support, and Android 14 out of the box with some ai-driven features like enhanced results through the phone launcher, Gallery, and Settings apps.

Camera
The camera system on the Zenfone 11 Ultra is expected to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, featuring a 50-megapixel IMX890 main sensor. The device also promises a gimbal OIS stabilization system for the main camera, as seen in its predecessor. Furthermore, it is rumored to have a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and an OIS-assisted 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, the device will have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

Pricing & Availability
Recent leaks suggest that the base model of the Zenfone 11 Ultra, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will cost approximately CZK 24,990 ($1,078 USD / €986 EUR). The high-end configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is expected to be priced around CZK 26,490 ($1,143 USD / €1,045 EUR). These prices are rumored to be early bird prices, which could increase by CZK 1,000 ($43 or €39) and CZK 2,500 ($107 or €98) after the promotional period ends.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra as official details are released!
