Tecno’s Upcoming POVA 6 Model: A New 5G Smartphone with Helio G99 SoC and Full HD+ Display
At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, Tecno introduced the POVA 6 Pro, a 5G smartphone that boasts a Dimensity 6080 processor and a 120Hz FHD+ display. Now, it seems that Tecno is planning to launch a vanilla POVA 6 model as well. The device has recently appeared on the Google Play Console and FCC certification database.
Google Play Console Reveals POVA 6 Specs
According to the Google Play Console, the TECNO POVA 6, with model number TECNO-LI7, will feature a flat Full HD+ display. The resolution of this display is 2436×1080 pixels, and it offers a pixel density of 480 PPI.
The design of the device will be characterized by rounded corners, with the power button and volume rockers located on the right side. Underneath the hood, it will run an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 SoC that reaches a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz, and it will be accompanied by a Mali G57 GPU. The POVA 6 is expected to come with 8GB RAM and Android 14 out of the box.
FCC Certification Confirms POVA 6 Battery and Charging Details
The FCC certification confirms that the POVA 6 will be equipped with a large 5,850mAh-rated battery and support for 70W fast charging. The schematics indicate that the phone will have a dual-camera setup on the rear, which is encircled by a circular flash module. Additionally, the schematic reveals the existence of a configuration with 256GB + 12GB.
POVA 5: A Look Back
The POVA 5, Tecno’s previous offering in the lineup, debuted last year and featured a 6.78-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It was powered by the same Helio G99 chipset and sported a 50-megapixel main camera with an ai lens. Based on this information, we can anticipate some improvements in the successor.
