On a recent occasion in China, Honor held an exciting launch event where they unveiled their latest offerings. The event marked the arrival of not only two new smartphones – the Magic 6 Ultimate Edition and Magic 6 RSR Porsche Design, but also other devices such as the Honor Watch GS 4 and Band 9. Honor Watch GS 4: Specifications and Features
The Honor Watch GS 4 is a new addition to the smartwatch family, with dimensions of 46mm. It boasts a round AMOLED display measuring 1.43 inches and offers a high resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The watch comes in three color options – Starry Sky Exploration, Galaxy Shuttle, and Jasper Astrolabe. Consumers can choose between two strap options: Viton or leather.
Running on a real-time operating system (RTOS), the Honor Watch GS 4 includes Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity, making it possible for Bluetooth calling with an integrated microphone and speaker. Users can control the music on their paired smartwatch through this feature as well.
Sensors and Fitness Tracking
The Honor Watch GS 4 incorporates several sensors, including an optical heart rate sensor, air pressure sensor, and gyroscope sensor. This enables the smartwatch to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and sleep cycles. It also includes a built-in GPS with support for five major satellite positioning systems, allowing precise tracking of daily steps and activities like running and cycling.
Additional Features
The Honor Watch GS 4 offers NFC payment support for popular Chinese mobile payment platforms WeChat and Alipay. With an impressive battery life of up to two weeks on a single charge, the smartwatch only takes 60 minutes to fully recharge. It also features 5ATM waterproofing, making it an excellent companion for swimming.
Pricing and Availability
The Starry Sky Exploration variant of the Honor Watch GS 4 is priced at ¥999, while the other two options are available for ¥1199. Pre-sales have commenced in China, with live sales beginning on March 29.
