Xiaomi, the renowned tech company, has recently introduced the new Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro smartphone in China. There have also been reports suggesting that this latest offering from Xiaomi may soon be available in the Indian market. Alongside the much-awaited smartphone, there is exciting news regarding a new set of earbuds from Xiaomi that could potentially be the Xiaomi Buds 5.
Several certification sites, including the FCC, have revealed the existence of these earbuds under the model number M2341E1. The FCC listing provides insightful details about the Xiaomi Buds 5, indicating that they will operate in a frequency range of 2400 MHz to 2483.5 MHz and incorporate a PIFA antenna with an impedance of 50 Ohms. The earbuds themselves measure 17.18mm x 20.17mm x 30mm, while the case measures 53.2mm x 24.5mm x 53.93mm and weighs a total of 44.7g for both the earbuds and their case.
Apart from the FCC database, the Xiaomi Buds 5 have been spotted on other certification platforms such as SDPPI, SIRIM, and CMIIT, suggesting a possible imminent global launch. Although specific features and details about the earbuds remain under wraps at present, it may be worth examining the specifications of their predecessor, the Xiaomi Buds 4.
Xiaomi Buds 4: An Overview
The Xiaomi Buds 4 sport a semi-in-ear design similar to AirPods, without silicone ear tips and an IPX54 water-resistant rating. Each earbud includes microphone cutouts and tap controls on the stem. For audio, these buds boast a graphene-dual magnetic dynamic driver, intelligent active noise cancellation, 360-degree spatial audio, and transparency mode. They support Hi-Res audio wireless certification, LHDC 5.0 for CD-level sound quality, and feature three built-in microphones with noise reduction, including wind noise elimination for calls.
The buds come with a pebble-shaped charging case that boasts a dual-tone design, offering 6 hours of playback and an extended battery life of 30 hours. Powered by a 480mAh battery, each earbud boasts a 30mAh cell and is capable of connecting to two devices simultaneously.
