Official Confirmation: Realme 12x 5G to Launch in India on April 2, 2024
Realme, the innovative Chinese smartphone brand, has announced that its latest addition to the Realme 12 series, the Realme 12x 5G, will be officially launched in India on April 2, 2024. The news was confirmed through a fresh teaser that also revealed some of the phone’s key specifications and design.
Key Specifications and Design Revealed
Let us recall that the Realme 12x was first announced in the Chinese market last week. The upcoming model in India will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G chipset, making it a mid-range 5G smartphone. The teaser also confirmed that this phone will boast a large 5,000mAh battery pack and support for 45W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, which Realme claims is the fastest in its price segment.
Display and Design
The teaser revealed that the Realme 12x will offer a dual speaker setup, with the display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals and enhanced gaming experience. The design of this smartphone was also showcased, featuring a dark green and purple color option with a large circular camera module at the back. This houses the camera sensors and LED flash.
Display
Based on the first launch, the Realme 12x sports a tall 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for an immersive viewing experience.
Memory and Camera
The device comes with 12GB of RAM, expandable up to 12GB using virtual RAM. In terms of optics, the Realme 12x features a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the rear. The front houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter to capture stunning selfies.
Additional Features
The Realme 12x offers IP54 water and dust resistance, ensuring protection against accidental spills or splashes. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who still prefer wired audio connections and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.
