As per a recent leak,
Anbernic
is preparing to launch a new handheld gaming device called the RG35XX 2024. For fans of handheld games, this is big news. Anbernic is known for putting out new devices frequently, and this latest release seems to mix the best parts of their previous models, the RG35XX and the RG35XX Plus, into something both familiar and new.
The new RG35XX 2024 (via Retro Handhelds) packs some significant upgrades under the hood while keeping the look and feel of its predecessors. It’s powered by the Allwinner H700 chipset and has 1GB of LPDDR4 RAM. This setup means you can play a wide range of games from classic consoles like the SEGA Dreamcast, PlayStation 1, and PlayStation Portable without a hitch.
The device itself is pretty handy, with a 3.5-inch IPS screen, all fitting into a small package that’s 117 x 81 x 22 mm in size and weighs just 186 grams. Although it sports a slightly smaller battery than the RG35XX Plus at 2,600 mAh, it promises enough juice for plenty of gaming fun.
Price-wise, the RG35XX 2024 is said to be quite affordable. The report mentions that customers will be able to grab one for about $50 if they buy directly from
Anbernic
or $61 through
AliExpress
. Plus, it comes in four colors: Grey, Black, White, and Purple, giving you some options to choose from.
