Thunderobot
has announced a dual-display mode
gaming monitor
, the Silver Wings. The Silver Wings is a unique gaming monitor that can deliver 4K @ 240Hz as well as 480 Hz at a resolution of 1080 pixels. The Thunderobot Silver Wings is a premium gaming monitor comparable to similar models by ASUS and LG respectively.
Features
Thunderobot has a strong reputation for producing projectors, with the Thor Bagel Civi unveiled last year. The Thor Bagel Civi runs on Android 9.0 and is a budget gadget in comparison to the Silver Wings.
The Thunderobot Silver Wings is being advertised as a QD-OLED monitor. The panel of the monitor is produced by Samsung Display but the company is yet to debut a QD-OLED panel with 240Hz/ 480Hz switching capabilities. Rather, it is speculated that the gaming monitor’s panel is the same WOLED panel utilized in the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP and the LG UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE. The WOLED panel is LG Display’s new dual-display mode panel. The monitor measures 31.5 inches across with a 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The Thunderobot delivers high peak brightness, fast response times, and a decent collection of modern ports. It has a 90W USB-C connection among several other features. In terms of comfortable viewing, the new Thunderobot gaming monitor comes with an ergonomic stand base that offers versatile positioning options.
Pricing
The new Thunderobot Silver Wings WOLED gaming monitor is initially offered for 9,999 yuan ($1,380). It is available from retail platforms in China but it is unclear whether the model will be subsequently available in other markets.
