TCL, traditionally known for its large TVs, is also known to launch some amazing gaming monitors from time to time. Recently, one such monitor called the TCL 34R83Q has made it to the global market. This 34-inch monitor features a 1500R curved screen, aiming to improve gaming and professional work with its immersive viewing experience.
At the heart of the 34R83Q is a VA panel with ‘Fast-HVA’ technology, developed by TCL’s subsidiary, CSOT. It boasts a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels, a high contrast ratio of 4,000:1, and wide viewing angles of 178/178 degrees. The monitor supports a 170 Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms GtG response time, making it suitable for competitive gaming titles. It also includes AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies for smooth, tear-free gameplay.
The 34R83Q excels in color accuracy and range, offering 10-bit color depth and 95% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3, and 99% sRGB color spaces. It’s also Pantone-validated and factory-calibrated to ensure precise color representation. With 1,152 Mini LED backlight zones, the monitor reaches a peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits, earning VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification.
Pricing & availability
Despite TCL not officially announcing the price and availability, the 34R83Q is reportedly being sold by some French retailers for €1,199.
