Title: Qualcomm Unveils Three New Mid-Range Mobile Phone Processors: SM4635, SM6650, and SM7635
Qualcomm, a leading tech giant in mobile technology, is reportedly working on three new mid-range mobile phone processors as per the latest news from Android Headlines. These upcoming chips, with model numbers SM4635, SM6650, and SM7635, are predicted to fall under the Snapdragon 4, 6, and 7 series respectively.
The first smartphone to showcase the SM7635 chipset is expected to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro. For context, Qualcomm typically follows a consistent naming convention, making this prediction plausible.
Code names for these processors include “pitti” for SM4635 and “volcano” for both SM6650 and SM7635. The earlier intel from Roland Quandt in February pointed towards SM4635 being the Snapdragon 4 Gen 3, with a memory configuration of 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. As comparison, previous generations in the Snapdragon 4 series, i.e., 4 Gen 1 and 4 Gen 2, had model numbers SM4375 and SM4450 respectively.
Regarding the “volcano” processors, there’s speculation Qualcomm might adopt a similar strategy as with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 (SM6450) and 7s Gen 2 (SM7435), which shared similar specifications under the codenames “parrot.” Based on Android Headlines predictions, SM7635 might not surpass the capabilities of Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 but will still deliver substantial enhancements. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro is among the first devices rumored to incorporate this new chipset.
Despite the lack of concrete information, anticipation mounts for more details about these processors as they are expected to make their debut soon.
