Vivo’s New Budget Offering: The Y03 Unveiled in Indonesia
After much anticipation and buzz in the technology world, Vivo, a leading global smartphone brand, has formally launched its latest budget offering, the Y03, in Indonesia. This new device marks the successor to the Vivo Y02, which made its debut in November of last year.
Key Specifications of Vivo Y03
The Vivo Y03 boasts a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution and a swift refresh rate of 90Hz. The panel comes equipped with a waterdrop notch, a popular design choice among budget-friendly devices, which accommodates a 5MP selfie camera.
Rear Camera Setup
Flipping the phone over reveals two camera rings, each housing a 13MP primary lens and a QVGA lens. An LED flash is conveniently positioned next to the camera setup.
Under-the-Hood Performance
Powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, the Vivo Y03 is an octa-core chip launched in 2020. Despite its age, it should deliver satisfactory performance for everyday tasks.
Memory and Storage
The Helio G85 processor is partnered with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and two internal storage options: 64 GB or 128 GB of eMMC 5.1. The larger storage variant is expandable up to a substantial 1TB via a microSD card.

A 5,000mAh battery fuels the Vivo Y03 and supports 15W charging via a USB-C port. The entry-level device runs on Android 14-based FunTouch OS 14.

The Vivo Y03 is priced at IDR 1,299,000 ($83) for the 4GB/64GB variant and IDR 1,499,000 ($97) for the 4GB/128GB variant. The device is available in Green and Black color options. Vivo has plans to release this smartphone in other Asian markets imminently.
