Title: Upcoming Xiaomi Civi 4 Smartphone Surfaces on MIIT and 3C Certification Platforms: What We Know So Far
A new smartphone from Xiaomi with the model number 24053PY09C has recently been certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), fueling speculations that it could be the much-anticipated Xiaomi Civi 4. The device has also appeared on the 3C certification platform, revealing a 67W charging capability [1].
The Xiaomi phone with a similar model number 24053PY09I has already been spotted on India’s BIS authority, indicating that a rebranded version of the Civi 4 might be in the works for the Indian market [2]. Previously, Xiaomi introduced a tweaked version of the Civi 2 globally as the Xiaomi 13 Lite. As such, there’s a strong possibility that the Civi 4 might undergo rebranding or minor modifications for India, possibly as the Xiaomi 14 Lite [3].
Rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Civi 4 will boast a 1.5K flat display, covered by a 2.7D micro-curved glass, similar to Xiaomi’s 14 series [4]. Furthermore, the device is expected to feature Leica co-branded cameras, led by a 50MP primary sensor – a first for a non-Xiaomi series smartphone [5]. The Civi 4 is rumored to adopt a metal frame and glass back, echoing the design of flagship smartphones. Additionally, the phone is said to pack a battery surpassing 5,000mAh capacity with support for fast charging, potentially up to 100W (or even 120W) [6].
Another intriguing rumor is that Xiaomi might launch the Civi 4 with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Qualcomm is slated to unveil its latest System on Chips (SoCs) on March 18th, likely including the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 alongside the 7+ Gen 3 [7].
Stay tuned for more updates on the Xiaomi Civi 4 as additional information surfaces.
